CONFERENCE SITE
The ION
2010 Conference will be held at the “Dom Dziennikarza” hotel in
Kazimierz Dolny. The hotel, which is the accomodation place for most of
the participants, is situated within a walking distance from the town’s
center. Full board, including breakfasts, lunches and evening meals will
be served at the hotel restaurant.
The
registration of ION 2010 participants will start on Monday, June 14 at
10:00 a.m. in the “Dom Dziennikarza” hotel. The lunch is planned at
13:00 p.m. and the Conference opening at 15:00 p.m. The Conference will
be closed with a lunch on Thursday, June 17. The participants wishing to
come to Kazimierz Dolny earlier or to stay there after the Conference,
will be informed by the Organizers on hotel costs.
YOUNG
SCIENTISTS CONTEST
During the ION 2010 Conference a special Young Scientists Session will
be organized. Prizes will be awarded for the best 15 minutes oral and
poster presentations. The Contest aims at Ph.D. students and scientists
with not more than 6 years after their Ph.D. defence. The jury will be
appointed by the Scientific Committee of the ION 2010 Conference.
In order to participate in the
Young
Scientists Contest, a candidate is asked to submit a short CV together
with an abstract not later than May 10, 2010. The candidate should be a
first author of the presentation.
ABSTRACTS
One
page abstract should be prepared using the format of Abstract Example
enclosed. The authors are asked to submit their abstracts by e-mail to
ION@hektor.umcs.lublin.pl.
POSTERS
Posters should be prepared for a board of the size: 100 cm high × 80 cm
wide. The text and figures should be easily read from a distance of 1.5
m.
PUBLICATIONS
Papers
presented at the Conference will be published in regular volumes of
Vacuum journal. Acceptance of
papers will be subjected to the usual refereeing procedures of the
journal.
CONFERENCE FEE
The
fee is 1700 PLN (450 EUR), single room accommodation, and 1400 PLN (370
EUR) for double rooms. Student and accompanying persons rate is 900 PLN
(240 EUR). Payments must be free of bank charges to the organizers.
After May 15, 2010 the fees will be 10% higher.
Unfortunately it will be not possible to make the payment at the
Conference site.
